My background was not in radio. I spent my entire career in I.T. (Information Technology) having many roles over the years. Toward the end of my career I spent the last number of years as a Business Analyst.

I had decided in my late teens that I wanted to be a radio announcer but life led me down a different path because of family reasons. It was only after CKVN decided to go commercial and become CHNR that I got involved.

I decided to write them a letter and, much to my surprise, I received a call indicating that they were interested in speaking with me about my desire to join the station. The rest, as they say, is history – I was given the chance and that is how it all began.

I got to pursue my dream after nearly 45 years.
