Music has always played a huge role in my life. My appreciation for music came from my parents who had diverse tastes in music. My love of nostalgia music came from a variety of influences in my life.

One influence was my drum teacher who introduced me to Krupa and Rich. I also loved listening to the big bands at Christmas, which quickly morphed into me listening to the big bands the other 364 days of the year as well!

I graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Geography and Environmental Studies and promptly followed my husband to Bermuda. Bermuda was a fantastic life experience for me and a decade later, we moved back to Winnipeg and I decided to start a career in broadcasting. Shortly after we moved back, my mom recommended I listen to a station called CJNU. Thanks Mom, great advice!

I enrolled at the Academy of Broadcasting where I graduated at the top of my class and won the Don Thomas Scholarship. Because I'm also a huge fan of rock music, I completed my practicum at Power 97 and decided to stay there as an intern and volunteer at CJNU as well. I started on the phones at CJNU and then moved on to producing.

I really love and believe in CJNU. It sure has been a great ride so far!
