I grew up in a household of 78 RPM records - all the big bands from the 1930s and '40s. I never outgrew my love for that music.

I retired from teaching after 38 years. It was a journey across five decades. I had the privilege of teaching Grades 7-12 in one school, of offering life's lessons to thousands of students, of being supported by hundreds of colleagues and administrators through thick and thin, of being involved in a life long pursuit of wisdom. It was never a job, never a career but the fulfillment of a dream

I host 'Malts, Mustangs and Memories' on Sundays at noon. It's two hours that takes you from the Rock and Roll era in 1956 through soul, the British invasion, folk to the soft rock sounds of the '70s. Following that, it's 'The Memories Show', which offers the best in swing music and singers from the '30s, '40s and '50s, from 2 - 4 p.m. I take requests for my programs, so if there's something you'd like to hear from those eras on my next programs, send me an email at requests@cjnu.ca .
