I'm from Ontario, but have been living in Manitoba since 1964, so this is definitely home. I was a secretary all my working life until I retired from the Winnipeg School Division in 1997.

Music is my big love and I really enjoy playing the piano. I attend concerts of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, the Asper Jazz Series and the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra.

After retiring, I volunteered for a couple of years at CNIB and helped out in the library at Literacy Partners for six years and in the library at the Centre for Christian Studies. I volunteered at CKVN/CHNR for several years answering the phone.

Because of my love for music, Gren Marsh encouraged me to try broadcasting. In September 2003 he invited me to be on his program and asked me to pick the music for the entire three hours. That is the only radio experience I had until I went on the air in August of 2005 for CJML at Deer Lodge.

When CJML called it quits, Garry Robertson called a meeting at his house and we regrouped into CJNU. I am on the Board of CJNU and have been doing the scheduling for the Broadcasters/Operators for a while as well as doing my bi-weekly broadcasts.

Being a part of the operation at CJNU is one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done. The people involved are great to work with and our listeners' love of our station make it very worthwhile. It is quite a busy life and definitely keeps me out of the pool hall!!
