I was born and raised in Brandon and received my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from Brandon University.

I taught school in Ste. Rose du Lac for 36 years and raised a family of two girls and one boy.

I was on the Board of Directors of Westman Cable and also the chairman of the Community Media Committee in Ste. Rose.

I am now retired and living in Winnipeg. I really enjoy helping out at CJNU. I also do volunteer work at the Health Sciences Centre a couple of days a week.
