Jim Miln
Director/Phone Volunteer
When I heard CJNU had commenced broadcasting in December 2007, I joined immediately. I am a big fan of ragtime, Dixieland, big band, swing and doo-wop musicans well as singers Vaughn Monroe, Pat Boone, Connie Francis, the Four Aces, the Inkspots, etc. so I thought I should volunteer in some small way to help the station remain viable. My work as a phone volunteer has been most enjoyable. I was elected as a Director of Nostalgia Broadcasting Cooperative in November, 2010.
As far as my background goes, I am retired from CN Rail. I loved going to work every day and had plenty of variety in my job. At various times I worked in planning, accounting, personnel, labour relations and for 20 years in operations. Several of my jobs involved frequently working for a week or two in various locations - and so through the years I was in most of the railway points between Vancouver Island and Montreal.
Currently, I operate a tax service business.
