Until retirement on March 30, 2006 I was a legal assistant, having started work in 1966 in the area of civil litigation with a large law firm in the city.

In 1983 our daughter was born and I was a stay-at-home mom until 1990, when I returned to work for a sole practitioner.

Throughout the years 1975 to 1997, I was involved with the Winnipeg Legal Secretaries Association and the Canada Association of Legal Support Staff, serving as the chair of various committees and ultimately President of both those organizations. I was also Secretary of the Victoria Beach Club.
