Volunteer Opportunities at CJNU
Most of the 'work' that keeps CJNU on the air is done by volunteers. We're always looking for people who would like to experience what it's like to be involved in running a radio station - people who want to contribute to keeping the sound nostalgia radio on the air in Winnipeg. The three main types of volunteers we require are announcers, producer/operators, and telephone volunteers to answer phone calls from listeners. At the moment, our greatest need is for producers/operators.
No experience is necessary for any of these jobs - just a willingness to learn. Most of our volunteers work one three to four hour shift per week, but when and how often you work is open to discussion.
People interested in learning more about becoming one of our on-air voices or contributing their production/operating skills should contact our Programming Committee. People interested in contributing other skills to assist CJNU should contact our Volunteer Coordinator. You can send an email to the appropriate person by clicking on the above links - or phone 942-CJNU(2568).
