The Winnipeg Foundation announces a partnership with Jonathan Toews to enhance healthy food and nutrition for local kids.

Nourishing Potential is a fund first established in 2011. To date, more than 70 groups have been granted more than $850,000 to help community organizations provide healthy meals as well as hands-on cooking training and food information for young Winnipeggers. Toews is lending his name to an online campaign to enhance the fund to the $5 million level. Other well known Winnipeggers are lending their support by stopping in at the Foundation’s office in the Richardson Building and while there are being interviewed on CJNU. Premier Selinger was our first guest, shown being interviewed by Manager Bill Stewart
