To date, more than 70 groups have been granted more than $850,000 to help community organizations provide healthy meals as well as hands-on cooking training and food information for young Winnipeggers. Toews is lending his name to an online campaign to enhance the fund to the $5 million level. Other well known Winnipeggers are lending their support by stopping in at the Foundation’s office in the Richardson Building and while there are being interviewed on CJNU.
